In nearby Wilson County, a suspect in a child sex crime case is facing numerous charges and more could be filed. Evidently, the child is under the age of 10 years old.

The suspect in the case has been named as Edward Alan Kuiper and he is 36 years of age. Thus far, he has been charged with aggravated rape of a child, unlawful possession of a weapon and probation violation.

The Wilson County Sheriff's Office started their investigation into Kuiper when the mother of the victim reported the alleged sexual abuse. Reports indicate there could be more victims which would equal more charges.

As of Monday night (4/20/2020), Kuiper is still behind bars and has not made bond.
