Murfreesboro Medical Clinic announces Appointment Testing for COVID-19 Starting Monday

May 08, 2020 at 04:31 pm by Bryan Barrett

As drive-thru COVID-19 testing came to a close Friday afternoon, Murfreesboro Medical Clinic readies for appointment testing of patients for COVID-19.

Starting Monday, all COVID-19 tests at the medical clinic will be by appointment only. This change comes as more testing options have become available in the community.

On Friday, Murfreesboro Medical said they truly appreciate the staff members of the Rutherford County Health Department and the Murfreesboro Police Department who helped make the drive-through COVID-19 testing possible for the community and patients.

Currently, the clinic offices are asking that everyone, 2 years of age and older, wear a mask when entering Murfreesboro Medical Clinic buildings. However, due to limited supply, they will not be able to supply masks to everyone.

As for MMC staff, all of them are being screened daily with temperature checks while patients and visitors are being screened with a series of questions. Some of their providers are also offering telehealth services for appointments as an alternative to in-patient care.

If you have questions regarding COVID-19 testing, you are encouraged to contact your primary care physician or the Rutherford County Health Department.
