(MURFREESBORO) The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically impacted our local economy, and with the budget for the new fiscal year about to begin (June 1, 2020), the Murfreesboro City Council is calling a special session at 4:00 o'clock this coming Thursday (5/21/2020) afternoon.

At Thursday's meeting, the proposed Fiscal Year 2021 Budget will be reviewed by the council. The focus will primarily center on economic conditions anticipated for the period starting July 1, 2020.
The legislative body will then conduct a Public Hearing two-weeks later, at 6:00 o'clock Thursday evening, June 4, 2020, to consider the first reading of the coming fiscal year's budget ordinance, tax rate and appropriation ordinances.
