During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Rutherford County purchased three refrigerated trucks to use as morgues. However, they were not needed and 2 of those trucks will now be used by local emergency crews if needed and the 3rd will be sold.

As for storage space in Rutherford County...



The Mayor continues to push for a morgue to be built in Rutherford County that could be utilized as a learning tool for MTSU...



Nothing is concrete, but the mayor continues to be in talks with Middle Tennessee State University about the idea.
