Natural sound from outside of the event...
A group of about 60 protesters visited the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office on Monday afternoon because they wanted to voice their distaste for two arrests made at the George Floyd rally held on the local square this past Sunday. The group also wanted to address tear gas used on protesters who blocked off Middle Tennessee Blvd at East Main Street.
Lisa Marchesoni with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office told WGNS NEWS, "They approached deputies stationed at the entrance of the Sheriff's Office and talked with the deputies. It was a peaceful protest with no incidents or arrests."
