One person was killed early Tuesday morning when they changed lanes and wrecked on I-24 near I-840 in Rutherford County.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Marckeisha Reed abruptly switched lanes, lost control of her Ford Explorer and flipped.
State Troopers report that Reed was not wearing a safety belt and was ejected from her SUV just before 6AM on Tuesday (6/2/2020). The traffic report shows that the investigating officer believes that a seatbelt could have made a difference in the outcome of the crash.
The accident only involved one vehicle, which was the Ford Explorer that Reed was operating.
