A massive air handler was stolen out of the attic of a new home in the Blackman Community. The realtor told police that unknown persons made their way into the home on Starnes Drive by cutting the realtor lock box on the front door and then taking the key to enter. The realtor told police the air handler cost about $1,500. The new hardwood floors in the home were badly damaged when the thief apparently pushed the HVAC equipment through the house and out the garage door. The damage to the floors was estimated to be about $2,500. Murfreesboro Police responded to the home and took fingerprints in hopes of tracking down the criminal.
