On Friday State Representative Joe Carr commented on how Tennessee's education image has been bashed so long that we sometimes believe it. He noted that if we could pull the Memphis system from the group that the Volunteer State would suddenly move to the middle tiers. 

A listener called Monday (2/27/2012) morning's Action Line broadcast and asked City School's Director Linda Gilbert her thoughts. Without question, Dr. Gilbert noted that we should not pull any system out . . .

Dr. Gilbert stressed that those were her personal views, and not those of anyone else. She explained that we need to discover the successful practices of each school system and to implement those across the state.
