Tours of Rutherford County’s jail and administrative sheriff’s offices will be hosted from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 940 New Salem Highway, said Sheriff Robert Arnold. Arnold will discuss the proposed sheriff’s office and jail budgets for the upcoming year and will answer questions from citizens. Representatives from every division will be give tours that should last about 30 minutes. Citizens may turn in expired or unused prescription medicines and unwanted firearms for disposal. Ammunition cannot be accepted. Tours will begin in the visitation lobby of the 11-story jail facility.
