A Run for the Kids race will be held March 31 beginning at 7 a.m. at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic, 1272 Garrison Dr. The entry fee is $30 and all proceeds will benefit the Special Kids organization. 

Both a 5K and 15K race will begin at 7 a.m. and a one-mile fun run will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Drivers in the Gateway District and near Stones River Battlefield and Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce should expect traffic delays March 31 from approximately 6 to 10 a.m. along with road Closures on Old Nashville Highway near the Battlefield, Wilkinson Pike from Thompson Lane to the chamber and Park Avenue to Asbury Lane. 

Police will be directing traffic and volunteers will be available to inform drivers about safer routes. 

Special Kids, located in Murfreesboro, has provided therapeutic rehabilitation and professional nursing services to children with special needs since 1998 and has served over 2,200 families in 11 middle Tennessee counties.
