Boner adds he won't change the way he's conducted his job the last four-years...

Boner faced a stout challenge from Lance Jenkins. Boner led by less than ah-hundred votes after early voting and absentee ballots were counted. That made up almost half of the total vote. However, election day totals gave Boner a wider margin of victory. He won by just over 17-hundred votes.

Bill D. Boner (R) 9862 50.22%
Lance Jenkins (R) 8146 41.49%

The Rutherford County General Election will be held August 2nd, when Boner and Mitchell will face off.
