A Bell Buckle man who allegedly tried to steal two computers and beer from Walmart was arrested on Sunday in Murfreesboro. Ryan Michael Thompson was apprehended at the Walmart store on Old Fort Parkway.  Officer D. McCollum was waiting outside the store for Thompson when he exited. As soon as he walked out, he was taken into custody and charged with theft over $1,000. After he was taken to jail, his bond was set at $4,000.

In an unrelated case an unknown man left the same Walmart store with a 46” TV that he did not pay for. Reports indicate when a loss prevention officer saw the TV being loaded into the back of a truck, he quickly approached the subject and got the TV back. The thief then fled the scene. Police have the man’s license plate number and an arrest may be made in the near future.

Meanwhile across town at the Kroger Store on Lascassas Pike, two females were issued shoplifting citations after stealing two packages of freshly made sushi rolls. The sushi was valued at $16.
