The Blue Raiders climbed Rocky Top Monday with a 71-64 win in Knoxville over Tennessee in the second round of the NIT. Trailing by eight and a technical foul on Coach Kermit Davis late in the second half, things weren't looking so good for the Big Blue. However, the Vols went cold from the field and the technical seemed to spark the Blue Raiders. They mounted a 15-0 run in the final minutes. Bruce Massey led the charge with his first career double-double, posting career-highs of 20 points and 10 rebounds to propel Middle Tennessee to its first victory over the Vols since the 1988 NIT.

No. 4 seed Middle Tennessee (27-6) will host No. 6 seed Minnesota on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Tickets are currently available online at Ticketmaster and cost is $10. All tickets are general admission.
