Murfreesboro Police conducted what is called a knock and talk at an apartment at 1535 Lascassas Pike. A knock and talk often takes place after a concerned citizen calls the police to report possible drug activity at the address in question. Police say that a 22-year old man by the name of Brian Blackburn and a 20-year old female named Alisha Palfrey answered the door. Once inside Blackburn revealed to officers that he believed the maintenance man called the police after smelling marijuana in his apartment. When police searched the unit they found approximately 17-grams of marijuana, a bag of illegal mushrooms, 55-Dexadrine pills, 39-Addreall pills, digital scales and drug paraphernalia. According to the arrest report, Blackburn admitted to police that he has been selling illegal drugs for the past 3-years. Police say after questioning the duo, they seized over $2,000 in cash that was in the apartment.

Blackburn was charged with possession of a scheduled 2 drug with the intent to sell, possession of a schedule 6 drug with the intent to sell, simple possession of a schedule 1 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. Palfrey was charged with possession of a schedule 2 drug with the intent to sell. The two will appear in court on June 6.
