Child Sex Offender May Be Avoiding the Law in Murfreesboro

Mar 28, 2012 at 12:18 pm by Bryan Barrett

Herman Carroll -- a child sex offender from Illinois -- has been running from the law since 2000, after he was accused of molesting a second young girl. Though Carroll was arrested on July 3, 2000, for his latest alleged offense, he posted bond shortly thereafter. He failed to appear for his trial, and cops hadn't heard from him ever since. Carroll was recently featured on America’s Most Wanted and a Murfreesboro resident believes she has had contact with Carroll on at least two occasions. For nearly a decade, he managed to avoid detection, and cops suspected he might have even died. But recent tips from AMW viewers have placed him on the run and now possibly in Murfreesboro. Despite the suspect being seen, he has yet to be apprehended.
