Friends of the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring will host the annual Secret Garden Party on Friday, June 1, at 7:00 p.m. at the gracious home of two Discovery Center founders, Cindy and Doyle Boyd, located at 663 Coleman Road. This year’s Secret Garden Party marks the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Discovery Center!

The Boyd’s lovely bed and breakfast, The Manor at Twin Oaks, was the site of the first annual evening fundraiser, “A Night in the Country.” This year’s “A Silver Celebration” will be an elegant evening you won’t want to miss, bringing back fond memories of that great party, many years ago, under the stars.

Proceeds from the Secret Garden Party will support educational programs and exciting hands-on exhibits at The Discovery Center, where more than 130,000 visitors come each year.  The party precedes the Secret Garden Tour set for the following day, June 2nd; for only $10 per person, ticket holders will tour featured gardens in Riverbend, Indian Hills, Northwoods and downtown Murfreesboro.

Event tickets are $75 each, and may be purchased at the Discovery Center, or at www.discoverycenteronline.org.  Please contact Jennifer Neal at (615) 890-2300 for more information or to reserve tickets.
