The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is hosting its second annual Citizens’ Academy for 15 Tennessee residents who want to learn more about TBI and the agency’s duties and responsibilities as the state’s lead investigative law enforcement agency. The session began on May 1, 2012 and is held every Tuesday evening for four weeks including tomorrow night, Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Tuesday evening, the students will learn more about TBI’s Forensic Services Division and investigate a mock crime scene as well as participate in a simulated officer shooting situation. This year’s TBI Citizens’ Academy had more than 300 people apply to participate. The media is invited to take pictures and attend mock crime scene night.
