Coke machines at Northfield Commons, Raiders Ridge Apartments, the Red Roof Inn and at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Murfreesboro were broken into over the past two days. A total of 6-machines were vandalized and broken into. The vandalism rings in at over $5,000. So far, no arrests have been made.
If police find a suspect, he or she could be charged with a felony vandalism because the amount of damage is over $1,000. A felony vandalism charge is a class D felony in Tennessee. That means, the person responsible for the malicious act could be sentenced to 2 to 12-years behind bars.
