$233-Worth of groceries and no receipt to show for it... 20-Year old Alton Blake Carter allegedly filled a grocery cart a Kroger with beer, meat and paper products and then quickly exited the store. Kroger employees say that Carter actually ran out of the store with the grocery cart in tow. A police officer who was nearby got the call and made it to the parking lot before the accused thief could leave. Carter was busted by the 5.0 near the Kroger fuel center on Middle Tennessee Boulevard. Carter was charged with theft and will have to appear in court on July 24th.
