Two bags of marijuana and a handgun were recovered by Murfreesboro Police after the suspect in question ran from authorities. Andrew Ron Fields of Smyrna eluded police for several miles before jumping out of his car and running. While on foot, Fields reportedly dumped a handgun. Police recovered the weapon and continued running after Fields. When officers caught up to the 26-year old he was charged with felony drug possession, possession of a weapon while in the commission of a felony and evading arrest. His court date has been set for August 8.
