The Sheriff’s Department is in need of new deputies, but the budget falls short. Due to a lack of deputies, many law enforcement officers will be getting overtime. In fact, Sheriff Robert Arnold believes that overtime will cost the county about $1-million, according to a recent article in the DNJ. Approximately $792-thousand will go to the law enforcement budget and $200-thousand to the local jail.
