Murfreesboro Police identified the man killed in the I-24 at Medical Center Parkway crash as 30-year old Gary Gregory of Burleson Lane. The Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) indicates that the accident occured early 2:35 this past Saturday morning. The Murfreesboro man was traveling westbound and attempted to exit I-24 at exit 76.

After a preliminary investigation, crash reconstruction experts believe Gregory was traveling west on I-24 and attempted to exit on the ramp for Medical Center Parkway (Exit 76). At that point, the 2007 Harley-Davidson struck the end of the guardrail and continued out of control--slamming into the concrete wall. In addition, the helmet Gregory was wearing was not Department of Transportation (DOT) approved and alcohol may have been a factor in this fatal crash.

Gary Gregory was the second motorcycle fatality in Murfreesboro over the past month.
