Here’s a story you didn’t hear about during the Shanterrica Madden case involving the murder of MTSU Lady Raider Basketball player Tina Stewart. We have since been told that one potential juror wanted so badly to NOT be a part of the trial that he ran from Sheriff Deputies.
It all happened after 200-potential jurors were reduced down to 15-jurors in Hamilton County. Judge Ash informed the 15 that they needed to have their bags packed in case they were called to head to Murfreesboro to be a juror in the trial. The next day, one man showed up in the Hamilton County courtroom without his bags. Judge Ash ordered a deputy to take the man home to retrieve a bag. Once the deputy pulled up in the mans driveway, he got out of the patrol car and ran. He wasn’t caught and only 14-Hamilton County residents were sequestered for the murder trial in Murfreesboro.
Madden was found guilty of second degree murder, along with tampering with evidence. Madden’s next appearance in court will be when she is sentenced on July 16th at 10:30am.
