Domestic violence issues increase with the temperatures. Murfreesboro Police are investigating an alleged attack at a local motel. A Belize Court couple allegedly tangled over a computer. A man is texting his estranged wife's parents, when he is not supposed to be in contact with the family. He reportedly faced her at home saying she had his sunglasses.
Motel
A woman at a long-term motel called 911 and she said she had to drop the phone and run. When police arrived, she said a male, whom she knew, had three rough guys wearing bullet proof vests come by asking about him. She ran to another room and secured the door, but the male allegedly kicked it down. Shortly after that police arrived. Police talked with both persons and the male said they had been drinking overnight. Investigation reports indicate that officers noticed a strong odor of intoxicant. The investigation continues, and the male has been asked to stay away.
Computer
A Belize Court coupled tangled, reportedly because the husband was attempting to stop his wife from sending an e-mail. He told police that he curled his body on top of the laptop, at which time she allegedly struck him. Officers say that both parties have conflicting stories. Both parties were advised of their rights, and the female, who had an oder of alcohol, was taken in a cab to a local motel.
Not Supposed To Contact
Another situation involves a couple who allegedly broke-up in mid-April, but the male continues to make contact--even to the point of texting the girl's parents. The woman says her ex-boyfriend has a history of violence and that she does fear him. The investigation report indicates she told officers that the male carries a knife and once pulled it on a student.
