Director of Schools-Elect Don Odom has announced that Jason Bridgeman has been named the principal of Siegel High School.

Bridgeman currently serves as the principal of Holloway High School, a position he has held for the past three years following a four-year stint as assistant principal at the school. Bridgeman also previously served as a teacher at Bradley Academy and for Metro Nashville Public Schools.

“I am pleased that Jason Bridgeman has accepted the principal’s position at Siegel High School. Mr. Bridgeman is an educator of 15 years with seven of those as an administrator,” Odom said. “During his tenure at Holloway he has exhibited a focus for student achievement and recognition. Much like retiring principal Ken Nolan, Mr. Bridgeman realizes that the accomplishments of a school is linked to the success of its students. He has a background in marching band and in athletics, so we expect to see the intensity of both Siegel‘s academic and non-academic programs to continue and become even stronger.”

Bridgeman is eager to get started at Siegel, he said.

“It is indeed an honor and my pleasure to be selected as the Principal at Siegel High School. I am truly humbled by this opportunity,” Bridgeman said. “I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence that has been established by Mr. Nolan and his faculty and staff.”

Principal Ken Nolan announced his retirement in May after 39 years of service. Odom will begin as Director of Schools on July 1 following the retirement of current Director Harry Gill Jr.
