One of Rutherford County’s favorite summer events is getting ready to ride! “Saddle Up for Project Help” is slated for Thursday, July 26th at 6:30 p.m., at MTSU’s Foundation Reception House, located at 324 West Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro.   For only $50 per ticket, guests can show off their favorite jeans, boots and cowboy hats while they enjoy a Western-themed evening filled with barbecue, live music and a silent auction.   This year’s proceeds will go toward the expansion of programming with the ultimate goal being the provision of a one-stop, wrap-around preschool educational and therapies center.   Project Help is Rutherford County’s only community/center-based inclusive preschool program and plays a crucial role in pre-school education, social interaction and diversity.

Director Susan Waldrop says, “This year’s Saddle Up is already exciting. We are returning to the MTSU Foundation Reception House-next door to the Miller Horse Science Center & Coliseum. It’s an extremely appropriate and wonderful setting. The fun component of the fundraiser is the way folks in the community seem to enjoy putting Saddle Up together. Their hard work will result in a relaxed, informal evening with people dressed-up in (and showing off!) their western-wear finery.”
