A man was arrested in Murfreesboro on Monday morning for allegedly threatening to blow up the Social Security Administration office on Saint Patrick Court off of Saint Andrews Drive. Police arrested Brian Bottoms on outstanding warrants from Dickson County. Bottoms allegedly threatened to blow up the office after he was refused benefits. The offices were shut down for an extended period of time while police searched for the alleged bomb. The search revealed that no bomb was found.

This is not Bottoms first run in with the law. He made the news 17-years ago when he allegedly plotted a plan with his brother to kidnap news anchorman John Seigenthaler. Seigenthaler, who once lived in Nashville, now lives in New York and works for NBC. Apparently Bottoms did not like a news report that involved Seigenthaler and skin heads.

Bottoms is on the Domestic Terrorist Watch List.
