The Islamic Center of Murfreesboro is back in the news… Those who are against the structure being built have asked a judge to halt the construction process. The first phase of the building is about 80% finished. Opponents continue to argue that there was not enough public notice before the structure was approved by commissioners. A judge agreed that proper public notice was not given, but the construction was not stopped. An order to stop construction that was filed last week has failed.
