Rubber ducks autographed by entertainer Jennifer Lopez and University of Tennessee women’s basketball coach Pat Summit will be auctioned off during the annual Duck Bash Friday.

            The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Shane and Ashley McFarland at 2911 Longford Drive in Murfreesboro . All proceeds benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford and Cannon Counties , a nonprofit agency that helps sexually abused and endangered children.             Pilot Holly Hutchinson asked Summit to sign a blue duck with an orange bill while “American Idol” Colton Dixon of Murfreesboro asked Lopez, a judge on the show, to sign one. Hutchinson also sold ducks from people in Dubai and Afghanistan.

Other ducks to be auctioned were autographed by UT football coach Derek Dooley, financial radio host Dave Ramsey and entertainers Rodney Adkins, Chris Young, ZZ Top, Jason Aldean, Sam Couch, Kit Moore and Skyler Lane.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill will cater and Bobby Howard will provide music.
