Let the quacking begin! The start of the Child Advocacy Center's major fund raiser began Friday night with a casual party at the home of Ashley and Shane McFarland. The back yard of their Longford Drive home quickly filled with beautiful hats worn by charming Southern Belles, great music in the background, along with friends enjoying tasty cuissine from Carrabba's.
This was all the warm-up for the highly competitive 5th Annual Rubber Duck Derby at the Stones River flume behind the Sportsmans Club on Medical Center Parkway. At 4:23 Saturday afternoon, June 23rd, the beautiful water will suddenly be filled with 5,000 fiercely competitive rubber ducks float to be first through the "winner's tube" to secure five-thousand bucks for a lucky adoptee. That's the main prize, but there are numerous winners of other phenominal gifts. You can adopt a duck now by CLICKING HERE.
