The Annual June Dairy Days broke all previous records with over a thousand attending the 9:00AM to 1:00PM event at the Lane Agri-Park on Wednesday (6/13/2012). 

Many local youngsters who had never visited a farm, got to pet cows (above photo), tried churning butter and eating lots of free ice cream, yogurt and MTSU's famous chocolate milk (lower right).

There were several educational booths that told about farming as well as healthy eating information. (Above left) The Rutherford County Extension Service had a popular display showing the importance of calcium in your diet. And everyone loved taking the free hayride (below photo) that went past displays depicting the life of a cow. And yes, there was even a movie that showed how food getson our tab;e: starting at the farm, going though food processors, then to the grocey, and onto our table.
