Citizens once again spoke out against the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro at the June 14th meeting of the Rutherford County Commission, where the ruling from earlier in the month that the mosque was built with inadequate public notice was up for appeal.  In the end, the commission voted 15-6 to appeal that ruling, and further court action awaits.  Chancellor Robert Corlew ruled Wednesday that a certificate of occupancy could not be issued, meaning the 1,000 Islamic followers will not be allowed to occurpy the new Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.
