UPDATE: Hit and Run Accident Involving a Bike Rider

The Murfreesboro Police Department has located a vehicle of interest in which they believe at this time to be involved in the investigation of the personal injury traffic crash involving a bicycle last Saturday morning. Through good old fashioned hard work and excellent police investigative skills, Officer Terry Spence (F.A.C.T. Investigator) located what he believes to be the vehicle of interest which left the scene of the accident. The SUV was parked at Campus Crossing Apartments near the scene of the accident. 

There appears to be evidence which was left on the vehicle. Officer Brice Robbins (F.A.C.T. Investigator) appeared before Judge Mark Rogers to request and obtain a search warrant for the suspect vehicle. The warrant was issued and executed late Wednesday afternoon. The vehicle of interest has been seized from Campus Crossing Apartments. It has been impounded for further investigation and evidence processing. The vehicle model seized is a Hyundai Santa Fe Crossover SUV.
