The first annual Shiloh Community Celebration was held Saturday (6/23/2012) next to the new playground in the Old Fort Park. In fact, current residents as well as past Shiloh family returned from distant places. Organizer Katherine McCroskey told WGNS News that they were blessed to have a widened Halls Hill Pike with sidewalks after going for decades and having pedestrians hit along the roadway. In fact, she said that 12 persons lost their lives and numerous others were injured before officials did something about the hazardous roadway.

The groups not only enjoyed great food and fellowship, they played games dealing with the history of the Shiloh Community. Everything from scrambled words that had something to do with the area to trivia and more.

McCroskey noted that her next goal was to have a community center. In fact, she has a location in mind and is looking for others with a dream to secure it.
