Summer time temperatures will put Middle Tennessee in the pressure cooker. Temperatures by Friday afternoon are likely to exceed 100-degrees. The National Weather Service says the temperatures will flurt with record highs. The record high temperature for June 29th is 103-degrees. Temperatures will remain in the upper 90's to around 100 throughout the extended forecast with little rain chances, which will continue to add to the rainfall deficit.
During extremely hot weather, experts say it's important to avoid long term exposure to the heat. Remain indoors during the hottest part of the day. If you have to be outside, slow down. Drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids and wear light weight, loose fitting clothes.
