There is a quiet campground that most Rutherford Countians don’t know about in Christiana. The camp of solitude is called Hippie Hill. The group that overseas the camp is called “Helping Hungry Kids.” The non-profit agency has over 100-acres and takes in homeless travelers on a daily basis.
This past April there was a fire at Hippie Hill that destroyed the kitchen, shower house and diesel generators. As a result of the fire, Helping Hungry Kids plans to have a fundraiser this Friday through Sunday night. During the fundraiser multiple local bands will entertain guests.
Hippie Hill is located at 8627 Burks Hollow Rd. in Christiana. Everyone is invited to attend.
