There was a drowning reported in Murfreesboro early Thursday morning. Reports indicate 24-year old Scott Chance went underwater and never resurfaced.  Chance, who is from Georgia, was swimming with a friend in the hotel pool of Country Inn and Suites around 1 in the morning. The two allegedly had a few beers prior to swimming. Friend Matthew B. Tigner pulled Chance from the pool and started CPR on him until help arrived. The two serve in the U.S. Air Force together. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported Chance to Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was last listed in critical condition.
