Animal Cruelty - Dog Left in Hot Car

Rutherford County Pet Adoption and Welfare Services will aim to prosecute a Murfreesboro resident for leaving a dog in a hot car on Monday. The dog was found in a car at an address on North Highland Avenue near Murfreesboro Medical Clinic. According to the police report, the outside temperature was 93-degrees when the dog was found. A PAWS officer reported the interior temperature of the car was 102-degrees. The case was labeled as animal cruelty.
