One person has been killed in a crash on I-24 east in Rutherford County. The accident occurred on Wednesday morning. The crash happened at mile marker 96 near exit 97. Three people were in the car and one was killed when the car traveled off the roadway and into a tree line. One child that was in the car was also injured in the wreck.
