A 130-page, five year capital improvement proposal will be reviewed by the Murfreesboro City Council on Thursday night. The projects include everything from road extensions to greenway improvements and rings in at $263.7-million.

One of the larger items on the list is $32.6-million for a new police headquarters. Reports indicate the city may look to build a new headquarter office across the street from the existing office in the city parking lot that is on S. Church St. Nothing has been approved and that is just one idea that is floating around. The police department is also planning to build a $3.8-million police precinct. One location that has been discussed in the past is in Blackman.
