Eric Snyder, Chair of the City Hall Art Committee curated Murfreesboro: Through the Artist’s Eye for “Our Stories.” Mr. Snyder credits Ms. Joyce and Angela Jackson CPRP and Assistant Director of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department with the initial interest in combining the map “Art of Cartography” with the “Fine Art” of some of our community’s most beloved painters and photographers. Of the exhibit he stated, “The idea of placing these two types of art together in the Rotunda provided us the opportunity to look at our exhibitions in a new light. The result embodies a magnificent collection of some of the Art Committee’s favorite artists invited from all across our community.”  Snyder continued, “The work presented features Murfreesboro across time from many views and perspectives. A perfect complement to the series of maps on display.”
