A 16-year old female told police that she was kidnapped on Monday evening. The teen reported to police that as she was walking on West Main Street, a white male driving a paneled van stopped and asked her if she needed a ride. The victim told the driver “NO” and that was when the man reportedly reached out the passenger side window and grabbed her by the hair.
The teen told police the man pulled her into the van after opening the passenger side door. The female told the officers that she began hitting the driver and he released her and she was able to open the door and escape. Detectives are now investigating.
Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans told WGNS news, "We encourage parents to watch their children at bus stops and report suspicious activitites."
