According to Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department officials, a lawnmower was the apparent cause of a shed fire at 1303 Cason Trail around 11:00 o'clock Friday morning.

Fire department spokesperson Ashley McDonald told WGNS News, "District 9 firefighters  spotted heavy smoke and flames upon arrival. The crew worked quickly to extinguish the fire and was able to keep it from spreading to the residence."

The 10 by 12-foot outdoor building and its contents, including the lawnmower, were a total loss. The fire caused minor damage to a swing set, trampoline, fence, and grass near the area of the shed.

No one was injured during this incident.
