Anderson noted there was also a dramatic increase in the number of students who rode the school bus. In fact, that service increased almost a third.
He noted that most of the growth was in the Salem Highway-Cason Lane area and that enrollment at Scales Elementary was at capacity. The second area of growth was also felt in the northern end of the county, but not to the extent of the area around St. Andrews Drive.
