The Middle Tennessee Magic Club presents “The Fall Festival of MAGIC 2012” at the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts (110 West Ccllege St.). The show begins at 7:02 Friday and Saturday night, October 26th and 27th.
Gillicuddy (aka Cb VP luWayne Lovell) will serve as master of ceremonies for the shows which feature the area's best magical entertainers.
The Middle Tennessee Magic Club has been producing shows in the fall every year since 2004. They first began presenting shows every spring under the brand ‘The Razzle Dazzle Magic Show’ over two decades ago. Both have been extremely popular with kids of all ages as well as adults of all ages.
“This production builds on the great success of our past shows at the Center,” said David Williams, a club past president and the show’s director. “Historically, performances of the ‘Fall Festival of MAGIC’ as well as our spring shows are near sell-outs. So get your tickets early,” Williams reminded.
Rounding out the cast with Lovell will be Twisted Mind Majik, Mayhem Magic (Jeff Mullins and Jim Hooten), Reo Hagood, Mongo the Magnificent (Rob Covert), and Steve Varro. Performing in the lobby before the show will be George Erdel, John Harmon, and Gene Cunningham.
“The club has been meeting inMurfreesborosince it was founded back in 1984 by local magician Sam Walkoff,” said Tom Gibson, one of the club’s charter members. “Sharing a evening of magic and fun with the public is a long standing tradition for our group,” Gibson added.
Tickets will be on sale for both evening’s shows starting October 3rd at J. Mullins Jewelry & Gifts, located at 352 W. Northfield Boulevard, or phone the Center for the Arts at 615-904-2787. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 12.
The Middle Tennessee Magic Club is the Sam Walkoff Ring, theMurfreesborochapter (number 252) of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the largest fraternal organization of magicians in the world. Ring 252 meets at 7:02 on the first Tuesday evening of every month at the North Boulevard Church of Christ located at 1112 N. Rutherford Boulevard.
