Norman Brown, President of Murfreesboro-based Roscoe Brown, Inc., a 72-year-old HVAC company, said the company has developed a new plumbing division that will be managed by new employee Bobby Patterson, a 25-year veteran plumber.

“Our longtime customers have been asking us for some time to expand our home comfort, service and repair work to include plumbing," said Roscoe Brown, Inc. President Norman Brown.  "This line of business is a natural next step in providing whole-house and whole-structure comfort and service.  We have been working for the past few months to lay the groundwork to provide complete service and repair for commercial and residential plumbing.  We are very pleased to bring in Bobby Patterson, a second-generation plumber following in his dad’s footsteps, to lead this division of Roscoe Brown.” 

Patterson is a state-licensed Master Plumber and Mechanical Contractor, and is backflow-certified.  He is originally from Louisiana, but has lived in Tennessee for the past 24 years.  Patterson worked alongside his father, Johnny Patterson, in New Orleans, LA.  He has held multiple supervisory and management positions in his field, the most recent as Plumbing Service Manager and Safety Manager at ARS Rescue Rooter in Nashville. 

“I know how to build a solid plumbing business based on excellent quality and service, because I’ve already done it once in my career,” Patterson said.  “I’m very pleased and proud to join Roscoe Brown because of the top reputation of the company in the middle Tennessee area.  I know we have a strong standard of quality to match from decades of work in the HVAC field, and I’m looking forward to building that same strong reputation for Roscoe Brown in plumbing.”

Patterson said services will include plumbing service repair and maintenance for both residential and commercial segments of the marketplace.  The division will offer maintenance agreements for both residential and commercial customers as well.

“We will be able to do high pressure jet cleaning and sewer line camera inspections of sewer lines from the very beginning,” Patterson said.  “We are investing in the right, top quality equipment and service technicians who are very knowledgeable and can perform what the customer needs from A to Z.”

Patterson said the company also will maintain residential and commercial water heaters, clear drains, and provide grease trap pumping for commercial customers

Bobby Patterson is married to his wife, Shelly, and the couple has two sons, two-year-old Nathanial and nine-year-old Noah.
