A 38-year old Murfreesboro man has been charged with one count of child rape. Jason Burns, who lives on West College Street, allegedly sexually assaulted a four year old girl. During a police interview, the report shows that Burns made a full statement that implicated him in the child rape.

There is still an active investigation on Burns. Police believe that he may have sexually assaulted other children in the past 10-years.

Burns will appear in court on October 30.
