Ram's Road Warnings Now Through November 10th

Rush, rush, hurry, hurry--construction crews are making every effort to finish projects before winter throws them a curve. City Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran's computer model of potential traffic challenges for motorists includes several areas to avoid now through November 10th. 

City Construction Projects

Veterans Pkwy (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Final Striping and Street Lighting work continues on Veterans Pkwybetween Lone Oak Drive and Barfield Road. There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

N Spring St (between E Lytle St and E College St)

Expected NO Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM: Contractor for XO Communications will be installing underground fiber optic lines along E College Stbetween N Church St and N Spring St. There will be minor traffic interruptions with no lane closures. Sections of sidewalk along E College St will be closed. Proper traffic controls will be in place.

Memorial Blvd (between Airport Rd and Heritage Park Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday & Tuesday: City Traffic Signal Contractor will be working on overhead fiber optic lines on the eastside of Memorial Blvd between Airport Rd and Heritage Park Dr. There will be lane closures and trafficinterruptions on Memorial Blvd. Proper traffic controls will be in place for the lane closure.

Regenwood Drive (between Sulphur Springs Rd and Haynes Drive)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday & Tuesday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm: Contractor for AT&T will be installing underground fiber optic lines on Regenwood Drive. Regenwood Drive will be reduced to one lane with flagman directing traffic around the work area. Proper traffic controls will be in place.

Annual City Street Paving Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Citymilling, paving, striping and casting crews will be working on the following streets and subdivisions: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.

Regency Park Subdivision (Richard Rd, Majesty Dr,)
East Cason Trail Subdivision (Knight Dr & Stoney Meadow Dr, Dodd Trail, Moonlite Ct, Gaston Ct, E Cason Trail, Amber Glen Dr, Riverstone Dr, Cason Academy, Sunland Ct)
