This year marks the sixth year for “Operation Christmas Care.” The seasonal project has sent over 60,000 Christmas cards to wounded soldiers that are being cared for in military hospitals throughout the country.

This year, Murfreesboro resident and founder Lee Ann Newton told WGNS they have a goal of sending out 200,000 cards to our wounded military personnell. Newton said she hopes to be able to send cards overseas as well.
