UPDATE: The BP gas station on Old Fort Parkway was robbed on Sunday in Murfreesboro. Police say when they got to the scene of the crime they used a K-9 to track the suspect to a nearby wooded area. A report shows that when Paul M. Jordan refused to obey the commands of police, they sent the dog after him.

The K-9 bit the Shelbyville man and held him so that officers could place him in handcuffs. Cash that was stolen from the gas station was found on the ground near the culprit and was collected as evidence. The clerk who was working at the gas station positively identified the 25-year old suspect minutes later.

After his arrest, Jordan was transported to the hospital to be treated for the K-9 bite wound. He was later taken to the jail at the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and placed under a $50,000 bond.

The culprit, who told police he is currently unemployed, was charged with aggravated robbery and served a warrant for theft. He will appear in court on December 17th.
